Nairobi residents and its surrounding environs have been asked to brace up for moderate rainfall on Thursday, January 23, and Friday, January 24, 2025.
However, according to the latest seven-day weather outlook, the rest of the days will be sunny and dry weather conditions.
The counties include Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang’a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, Tharaka, and Nairobi.
“Mainly sunny intervals are expected to prevail during the day. However, a few areas are likely to experience morning rains and afternoon showers towards the end of the forecast,” the weatherman predicted in the latest outlook.
The counties include Nandi, Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma, Siaya, Busia, Nakuru, Trans-Nzoia, Kisii, Nyamira, Kericho, Bomet, Kisumu, Homabay, Migori, and Narok.

“Sunny and dry weather conditions are expected to dominate across most parts of the country. However, occasional rainfall is likely in some areas, including the Highlands West and East of the Rift Valley, Nairobi, the Lake Victoria Basin, the South Rift Valley, and the southeastern lowlands, particularly towards the end of the forecast period,” Kenya Met predicted.
In the advisory, the weatherman indicated that residents in the counties in Coastal and the Northeastern will continue to experience prolonged dry spells.
The counties include Mombasa, Kilifi, Lamu, Kwale, the coastal parts of Tana River, Marsabit, Mandera, Wajir, Garissa, and Isiolo.
“Sunny intervals are expected during the day while nights are likely to be partly cloudy,” Kenya Met added.
