President William Ruto and Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya coalition leader Raila Odinga are among dignitaries attending the burial ceremony for the late widow of freedom fighter Dedan Kimathi, Mukami Kimathi.
Ruto arrived at Mukami’s home in Njabini, Nyandarua County at 10am on Saturday, May 13.
The opposition leader arrived shortly after 11am.
This is the first time the two leaders are attending the same function since President Ruto took over power.
Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua and Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi are also among dignitaries attending the funeral.
Mukami died on May 4, 2023 at the age of 96 after a long illness.
