President William Ruto has extended his deepest sympathies for the loss of Homa Bay County chaplain Raphael Obego.

Ruto expressed his condolences, describing Pastor Obego as a devout servant of the Lord and a prayer warrior.

“Pastor Raphael Obego was a dedicated servant of the Lord and a prayer warrior.

“He was a light-hearted faith leader whose sermons were not only provoking and evocative but also clear and authentic,” Ruto’s message read in part.

Ruto and other dignitaries who attended the event were left in stitches as Obego uttered heavy words in his over one-minute prayer.

“Kings and Lord of Lords, he who dwells in the heavenly above, hallowed be thy name today and forever more. It has behooved you to spare our lives thus bringing us this far. We are gathered here for his conglomeration, we want to commit his excellency the President into your hands as you bless him I pray that you are going to bless this county, the county of endless potential.

“So Father as we begin, we invoke your presence in our midst, I pray for a moment of that is going to result into a quantum leap. May you keep at bay every single jungle manoeuvres that may be orchestrated by the devil to thwart your dealings in rigger to this particular conference.

“For this is my sincere Circumambulation for I supplicate in the name of God the Father and the holy spirit,” Obego prayed then.

His passing was confirmed by Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga who noted that the county had lost a great servant who touched our lives with his compassion, guidance, unwavering faith and positivity.

“His dedication to serving the county Government and people of Homa Bay will forever be remembered.

“My most sincere condolences go out to his family, friends, staff and people of Homa Bay,” Wanga wrote.

Interior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo also expressed sorrow following the pastor’s demise stating that “Obegi’s unwavering faith and optimistic spirit illuminated the paths of many, offering hope and encouragement when it was needed most.”

By the time of this publication, Obegi’s cause of death had not been made public.
