Two Members of Parliament have urged President William Ruto and his Deputy, Rigathi Gachagua, to resolve their internal disputes, arguing that the ongoing wrangles between the two leaders are detrimental to the country’s progress.
Suba South MP Caroli Omondi and Gem MP Elisha Odhiambo expressed concerns during a gospel music competition at the Homa Bay Central SDA Church in Homa Bay Town Constituency.
Omondi highlighted the need for Kenya to focus on economic recovery, stressing that this goal can only be achieved through peaceful co-existence among leaders.
He emphasized that development is critical for the country’s recovery and that political stability is essential in ensuring Kenya remains on a positive economic trajectory.
Omondi called for a political solution to the disagreements between Ruto and Gachagua, expressing confidence that one would be found soon.
Meanwhile, Odhiambo called on Gachagua to control his allies, who he claimed had been making inflammatory remarks that could tarnish the President’s reputation and further polarize communities.
He urged Gachagua to prevent his camp from making statements that could fuel tensions within the country.
