The Public Service Commission has begun the recruitment of a deputy governor of the Central Bank of Kenya.
The post is currently held by Sheila M’Mbijjewe since assuming the same in 2015.
Former President Uhuru Kenyatta reappointed her in 2019.
PSC in a notice said the applicants should be Kenyan citizens, be of recognized professional standing and hold a Bachelors degree in either Economics, Finance, Banking, Law or any other field relevant to CBK functions.
“All applications should reach the commission on or before November 14, 2022,” PSC chairman Anthony Muchiri said.
“The deputy governor shall hold office for a term of four years but shall be eligible for reappointment for one further term of four years,” the notice reads.
The CBK deputy governor performs functions assigned by the Central Bank of Kenya governor and is barred from engaging in any other paid employment.
