The former National Assembly Minority Leader explained that his wealth is made up of cars, cash, real estate, and farms across the country.
Wandayi who is the Ugunja Member of Parliament (MP) told the Wetang’ula-led committee that he has a farm in Siaya County and another one in Narok County.
He said he also has some plots in Kitendela in Kajiado County, and in Migori County.
Wandayi also says he has residential houses that have been constructed on his plots in Migori, and some other houses along Kang’undo Road in Nairobi County.
“My net worth is Ksh530 million. It is made up of cars, a little bit of cash, real estate, some developed and some not. I also have farms. I have a farm in Siaya, and I also have another one in Narok. I also have plots in Kitengela and Migori. I also have residential houses in Migori and some along Kang’undo Road in Nairobi,” Wandayi stated.
Following his nomination, he resigned from his position as National Assembly Minority Leader, as well as Secretary for Political Affairs in the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party.
He stated that he would first have the electricity transmission line to various parts affected with blackouts, relooked.
“I will fast track the development of transmission lines with the requisite capacity to evacuate power and take to the consumers,” he stated.
Wandayi went ahead to point out that should he get approved to assume office as the Energy and Petroleum CS, he will ensure the Turkwel-Ortum-Kitale power line is completed and commissioned.
“In Western Kenya, I will ensure that the Turkwel -Ortum- Kitale line is completed and commissioned in the shortest time possible,” Wandayi stated.
