The MP, who has been in the limelight of late due to his single status, said he has a taste for ladies.

“I want to make this clear that, my taste of a lady I can take to my honorable people down in the villages of Mumias East Constituency and be accepted is like this one on this photo sio kina manzi wa Kibera. Even me I have eyes for good things bwanaaa!” He captioned the photo on Twitter.

The first-term MP made news this week after a woman publicly said he wanted him to marry her.

In an undated video shared on social media, the woman identified as Lydia Ronald is seen holding a placard with the MP’s photo written ‘MP Peter Salasya Marry Me Please Mheshimiwa’.

She is heard gently asking for Salasya’s hand in marriage amid laughter from the onlookers at the popular Kenya Archives spot on Tom Mboya street.

Lydia described herself as a God-fearing, hardworking and humble woman who would make a perfect wife for the MP.

“I promise him that if chooses me to be his wife I won’t disappoint him,” Lydia is heard saying.

“I will be happy to meet you,” she added.

She said she decided to make the daring move after Salasya said he was single and actively looking for a God-fearing partner.

Reacting to the woman’s confession, the MP promised to reach out and ‘say hi’ which he did.

He jokingly said President William Ruto’s wishes that he should find himself a wife were about to become a reality.

The 32-year-old became an internet sensation after capturing the Mumias East parliamentary seat in the August 9 general elections.

Speaking in a recent interview, Salasya noted that his ideal woman must be a young and God-fearing woman.

“I am just looking for a very prayerful woman, very young girl, focused girl, supportive girl, presentable and must be able to speak to the people in the countryside. Are you willing to join me we go look for votes,” Salasya said.
