Political activist Morara Kebaso has sent a special message to the public while celebrating six years in marriage.
“He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favour from the Lord. I am six years in marriage now and every day is a new day. I can’t even say I am experienced. I learn every day,” he says.
He is the son of John Kebaso, the first senator of Kisii, serving between 2013 and 2017.
He gained nationwide popularity through his comical criticism of stalled government projects across the country.
Morara married Mercy at the age of 21, with whom they ventured into business, establishing Morara Home Furniture.
Recently, Kebaso vowed to continue with his anti-government criticism despite the opposition that he has faced in recent times.
In a statement, posted on his X handle on Friday, October 11, 2024, Morara criticised citizens who make noise and do not take active initiatives to help achieve their dreams.
“Citizens who only complain on social media but never get to the ground to do the much-needed civic education. Citizens who complain about bad governance but are not willing to form political parties and take that governance from the corrupt individuals. They mock those who try. ‘Huendi mahali,’ they say. ‘Jaribu MCA’ they add.
“Citizens who incite others to go for demonstrations, but they themselves never show up. Citizens who despise emerging leaders by calling them projects and all manner of names, but they themselves are not willing to emerge and do better than those who are trying. Citizens who, in their private businesses or in their places of work, are already corrupt and given public office, they would steal at an advanced speed,” the statement read.
