Kenya Power has restored power in parts of Eldoret, Kisumu and Nakuru.

This follows a national power outage experienced for the better part of Saturday evening.

In a statement, the utility firm attributed the power outage to a fault that occurred on the Suswa-Loyangalani high-voltage transmission line.

They assured Kenyans that their efforts to restore normalcy in other parts of the country are underway.

“We are glad to report that we have restored power supply to parts of Eldoret, Kisumu and Nakuru,

“We are working to restore normalcy in other areas as soon as possible. We thank our customers for their patience as we continue with the restoration exercise,” the statement reads in parts.

The power utility firm promised to issue another update in due course.
