National carrier Kenya Airways has issued a statement warning Kenyans of a fake job advertisement.
In their statement, Kenya Airways flagged the notice advertising various jobs as fake and urged Kenyans to remain vigilant.
“Please be aware that the message circulating on social media regarding job openings at Kenya Airways is fake and did not come from us,” the statement reads in part.
The fake poster was advertising vacancies for five positions including receiptionist, flight attendant, booking clerk, loaders and security officers.
The flagged notice also enlisted various requirements for the job groups and directed interested candidates to make their applications to the email address provided.
According to the fake poster, the positions were meant to increase workforce due to the increase in passengers and cargo in terminal 1, 2 and cargo centre.
Those targeted in the fake adverted were also promised a net salary of Ksh35,000 to Ksh70,000 which would be negotiable after three months of probation.
While flagging the advert, the national carrier noted that Kenyans looking for positions should always refer to their official website and channels.
“For accurate and hiring information, always refer to our official website and channels.”
