Mungai Eve has made it clear that she has no patience for DMs that try to sway her loyalty.
Messages from this mystery admirer started with a casual “Hey crush” and quickly escalated with a direct, “I want to date you… I’m very serious, I got my own money.”
Eve, amused by the big wallet flex, couldn’t resist a laugh.
She responded with a cheeky clapback, letting the guy down with a bold declaration that she is currently off the dating market.
“He had to add he got his own money, am taken guys sorry!” Eve Mungai responded to her admirer, adding laughing emojis to her reply.
It’s clear that even the promises of financial independence won’t distract Eve from her taken status.
During an interview in September with fellow content creators Nebz and Nyathira, Eve shared playful yet significant details about her current relationship, hinting that things could be getting more serious.
The digital content creator exuded confidence in her relationship, joking that her current boyfriend was likely to pay her bride price.
“Sahi pahali niko naona nitapelekewa, pale pengine nadhani mimi ndo ningekua nimejiashiria,” Eve said, sparking speculation of a possible upcoming wedding.
She also revealed that she has been dating her mystery boyfriend for almost a year, saying, “Mi naenda one year anniversary.”
Despite her excitement about her relationship, Eve made it clear that she has no immediate plans to get pregnant, reflecting on her previous five-year relationship with Trevor, during which she avoided pregnancy.
“Mimi kama nilikaa relationship miaka tano bila mimba sahi napatia wapi,” she stated confidently.
Speaking candidly about her breakup with Trevor, Eve admitted that she knew the relationship wasn’t destined to last.
“That’s why niliwaambia I knew kutaisha hivyo. Ushawai ambiwa na watu ‘hii nayo haiendi mahali’ hadi wewe mwenyewe uko hapo lakini unasema enyewe haiendi,” she reflected.
The 24-year-old further revealed that when YouTuber Andrew Kibe criticized her relationship with Trevor, she secretly agreed with his assessment.
“Unaona Kibe ameekelea vizuri unasema ‘ehh Kibe you are right, you see what you are saying is the truth,’” Eve said, laughing.
She expressed admiration for Nebz and Nyathira’s relationship, noting that her previous relationship with Trevor felt like a forced situation, unlike the natural progression of their union.
“I am super proud of them [Nebz and Nyathira], personally mi nasemanga nilijipata kwa long term relationship – it was a situation. Ushawai kuwa kwa situation inakuforce uishi mtu?” Eve exclaimed.
She added; “I really admire people who do the marriage thing the right way. Like these guys [Nebz and Nyathira] wamekua kwa online, wamekua wakipigwa pressure wapate Watoto and everything but wamepeleka vitu zao pole pole wakajenga, sahi wamefanya traditional wedding, of course from there maybe you gonna do a white wedding or something and then now maybe a kid later on. I am really super proud of you.”
Director Trevor was thought to have dumped Mungai Eve following his announcement that he had fired her.
On February 19, 2024, Trevor announced that he had sacked Eve Mungai and took full control of their shared social media accounts.
He also said Eve would not be getting her usual cut from the income generated by their once co-shared channels.
Trevor unveiled the channel’s new identity, rebranding to ‘Kenya Online Media (KOM)’, on February 20, 2024.
However, during an interview on the Iko Nini podcast in March 2024, Trevor dismissed claims that he dumped Mungai Eve, revealing that they sat down and decided to part ways amicably.
He also mentioned that even their parents were aware of their separation.
“We didn’t break up yesterday. Our parents knew. We sat down with Eve’s parents and told them we weren’t together anymore but we were still working together. It was okay, and we agreed on how we would run the business,” Trevor explained.
