Former Sports, Culture and Heritage Cabinet Secretary Ambassador Amina Mohamed has landed a new job as a University don.

Amina was named the new Chancellor of the International University of East Africa (IUEA) in Uganda.

Ambassador Mohamed steps into the role to replace the former don late Prof. Emmanuel Tumusiime-Mutebile who passed on in January last year.

In a statement, the university intimated that the former Kenyan CS had her work cut out for her.

“Today IUEA installed Amb. Dr. Amina Chawahir Mohamed. We are positive that the Chancellor’s leadership will be instrumental in guiding the institution towards more outstanding achievements,” noted the institution.

Amina Mohamed, in her acceptance note, stated; “To the students, today and tomorrow belong to you. I will do my best to make sure you are equipped with the tools that will magnify and amplify your chances of success in life.”
