Adding;
“This operation underscores the SOG’s unwavering commitment to collaborating with other security actors and local communities to safeguard our nation against all threats. We commend the bravery of our heroes who continue to put their lives on the line to vanquish the terrorists and keep us safe.”
The militants were surprised, leading to swift action by the security forces.
“The Sunday night operations caught the #Alshabaab militants by surprise. 4 militants were seriously wounded and escaped into the Somalia border with fatal injuries. The team recovered ammunition, deadly explosive-making materials, mobile phones, assorted medical supplies, food items, and portable solar panels,” the statement read in part.
