Roots Party leader George Wajackoyah has asked members of the public to carry their phones during Azimio la Umoja demonstrations tomorrow, Monday 27, 2023, and take pictures of police officers v*******g the law.

Speaking at Jesus Teaching Ministry in Embakasi where Azimio leaders attended a church service, Wajackoyah said he had information that some police officers will be carrying grenades.

“I am asking members of the public to use their phones tomorrow to take pictures of every police officer. Some of them will be carrying grenades.

“We want to preserve evidence. We will write to ICC. Bensouda (ICC Ex-prosecutor) was my classmate,” he said.

Wajackoyah said instead of police officers “f******g” Azimio protesters, they should protect them because they are also “suffering” under President William Ruto’s regime.

“Police officers are underpaid, they leave in poor houses, and are loaded with fake guns.

“The guns you are carrying are not the standard firearms that can pass consumer protection act in the United States. Your firearms are from Taiwan,” he said.

Wajackoyah’s sentiments came hours after Inspector General of police Japheth Koome said Azimio demonstrations are i*****l and police will not allow them to continue.

He noted that tomorrow, Monday, 27, 2023, will be business as usual and urged Kenyans to go to work and continue with their normal routine duties.

He also assured Kenyans of maximum safety and security as they go about their activities.

“Kenyans should go to work tomorrow. We as security officers will ensure there is peace in the country,” he said.

At the time, he claimed that the previous demos held in Nairobi and several parts of the country on Monday, 20, 2023 were successful.

“Fellow Kenyans, in the second phase of our protest, and in response to public demand, we shall now hold the protests every Monday and Thursday beginning next week,” Raila told journalists at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Foundation in Nairobi on Tuesday, March 21, 2023.
