Keyboard warrior? Muhoozi now thrèátèns to capture Kisumu in another cryptic tweet

Uganda President Yoweri Museveni’s son Muhoozi Kainerugaba is now threatening to capture Kisumu county.

In what looked liked revisiting an incident where Uhuru’s security detail was scaled down in February in what the Inspector General of Police Japeth Koome said was meant to to allow for efficient use of officers, Muhoozi, indirectly, expressed his displeasure, and shot his threats.

In a cryptic tweet, Muhoozi, on Saturday, April 1, 2023, stated that if the security detail is not reinstated, he will take an action.

“They must return Mama Ngina’s and President Uhuru’s security. Otherwise, we shall capture Kisumu,” he tweeted.

“My big brother’s farm was attacked by hooligans the other day. We will send UPDF to protect him. We will beat those hooligans to pulp!” he wrote.

This is not the first time Muhoozi has sent threats to Kenya since in September 2022, he claimed his soldiers would need a fortnight to conquer Nairobi forcing his father to apologize.

Museveni posited that it is imprudent for public officers, either serving in the m******y or civil service, to make adverse comments or appear to interfere with the internal affairs of neighbouring countries.

“I ask our Kenyan brothers and sisters to forgive us for tweets sent by General Muhoozi, former Commander of Land Forces here, regarding the election matters in that great country. It is not correct for Public officers, be they civilian or m******y, to comment or interfere in any way, in the internal affairs of brother countries,” his statement read in part.

“The only available legitimate forum is the Peer Review Mechanism of the African Union or confidential interactions among us or EAC and AU fora –not public comments,” he added.
