Edwin Chiloba’s adoptive parents have spoken following his murder that sent shockwaves across the country.

Chiloba, an LGBTQ activist and model, was killed and his body was stuffed inside a metallic box along Kipenyo- Katinga Road in Uasin Gishu County.

The deceased’s adoptive parents Peter Pfaltzgraff and his wife Donna said their hearts were broken following Chiloba’s death.

The Pfaltzgraff family, who hails from the US, further stated that they will give more details when they can share.

“Our hearts are broken tonight. Will give more details when we can share more. Please pray for us,” Donna wrote on Facebook.

The Pfaltzgraff family have been the spiritual parents of the deceased and have frequented Kenya to preach the gospel. They have been in the country since March 2022.

The American family has adopted a number of young people who work with them on matters of Christianity.

The Pfaltzgraffs run a church called Grace and Faith Family Ministry and according to them, their message is that God loves all people.

While speaking during a media briefing at Eldoret Central police station, Uasin Gishu County Criminal Investigations Officer (CCIO) Peter Kimulwo noted that the suspect, Jacktone Odhiambo, a 24-year-old freelance photographer based in Nairobi, had been a close friend to the deceased and had travelled to Eldoret for the New Year festivities.

Kimulwo stated that Odhiambo and two other individuals were staying at the deceased’s house in Eldoret where they spent time together.
