Monday 28th of November 2022, the pioneer class of the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) together with the class of 2022 candidates sitting the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education will write their exams that will run for a consecutive 3 days.
The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) is set to administer three national examinations for the first time to a record breaking three million learners.
And while it’s all systems go across the country, the story for candidates in Baringo South is different.
Candidates sitting national examinations in some five schools in Baringo South will be forced to sit their exams in one center.
Area leaders say though normalcy is slowly returning to the area, properties in a number of school was vandalised by bandits necessitating a merger of affected schools reports indicating pupil from Arabal, Chebinyiny, Kapindasum, Kasiela and Chemorongion primary schools will all sit for KPSEA exams in one center.
Baringo South MP Charles Kamuren said that school infrastructure is overstretched after bandits vandalised schools structures and homes making it impossible for the people to resettle within the catchment area.
