President William Ruto on Saturday announced that he had assigned Cabinet Secretaries Musalia Mudavadi, Aden Duale, and Salim Mvurya additional ministerial responsibilities.
The three Cabinet Secretaries for Foreign Affairs, Environment, and Sports will temporarily oversee the ministries of Information Communication and Digital Economy, Agriculture, and Trade.
This decision, according to Chief of Staff and Head of Public Service Felix Koskei, is intended to prevent any leadership vacuum while the country awaits Parliament’s approval of the newly nominated officials for these positions.
President Ruto has nominated former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo, former Health CS Mutahi Kagwe, and former Nakuru Governor Lee Kinyanjui as Cabinet Secretaries for the three ministries, with their vetting scheduled for January.
