Gospel singer Kambua celebrated her 40th birthday with a powerful message of gratitude, resilience, and faith, sharing insights from a transformative decade and a new chapter filled with purpose.
In a heartfelt post on Saturday, November 9, 2024, Kambua reflected on both the challenges and victories she encountered, honouring her journey with an unwavering sense of hope.
“40!! Fabulous! Favored! Fearless!” Kambua wrote, emphasizing her gratitude to God.
“Forever indebted to YHWH for Fighting for me in every season. I survived a decade that nearly broke me, and threatened to take me out, BUT GOD. I stand boldly as a testament of trials and triumphs!”
For Kambua, reaching 40 marks more than just an age milestone; it represents spiritual renewal and a clear sense of direction.
“I have been at the precipice of something. Something greater than my mind can conceive—I sense it with my whole being. In this milestone year, I will not settle for anything less than what God has called me to be. My vision is clearer than it’s ever been,” she shared, conveying a readiness to embrace her next phase with purpose.
With a spirit of surrender, Kambua expressed her commitment to aligning with God’s plan.
“God, it’s a yes even now. Yes to your way. Yes to your will. Yes to your time. Your peace is my peace. Your joy is my joy. Your strength is my strength. Your yes is my yes,” she wrote.
Ending her message with gratitude, she thanked Jesus for the path that brought her to this moment and for the road ahead.
Kambua has gone through challenges that would crash most people, especially in her journey to motherhood.
The gospel singer and her pastor husband Jackson Mathu welcomed their first child on August 10, 2019, after seven years of childlessness in their marriage.
In 2023, Kambua shared her heartbreaking story of losing two children.
While Kambua is widely known as a mother of three children, including Nathaniel and Natalie, and her late son Malachi, she revealed for the first time that she is, in fact, a mother of four.
“Most of you know that I have three children, Nathaniel, Malachi in heaven, and Natalie with me. But the truth is I actually have four children. This is something I have never shared with any of you before, but I think it is time to bring you into my world and tell you about two babies that I have in heaven and two that I get to take care of,” she bravely shared.
Later in 2021, she shared the unfortunate news of the passing of her now third child, a newborn son named Malachi Manundu Muthiga Mathu.
In an Instagram post, she noted that the baby boy had complications, and efforts by the medics to save his life were futile.
In November 2022, the gospel singer announced that she was expecting her fourth child.
Taking to Instagram Kambua shared a photo of her bulging belly in a white dress covered with flowers terming the pregnancy as a gift from God.
