While officially taking over the ministry, Muturi committed to enhancing the efficiency, accountability, and transparency of Kenya’s public service delivery.
“This afternoon, I had the honor of officially taking over the Ministry of Public Service and Human Capital Development. I step into this role with a deep commitment to enhancing the efficiency, accountability, and transparency of our public service delivery,” Muturi stated.
Muturi went ahead to state that he was fully aware of the challenges ahead, and promised to do everything possible to overcome them.
According to Muturi, continuous training and development for the country’s public service providers is key to progress.
“I am fully aware of the challenges ahead, but I am equally confident in our collective ability to overcome them and deliver the best for Kenyans.
Muturi thanked Kuria for the efforts he had made during his tenure at the ministry.
“I am grateful to my predecessor and friend, Hon. Moses Kuria, for the significant strides he made during his tenure, and I look forward to building on that foundation,” he said.
I am fully aware of the challenges ahead, but I am equally confident in our collective ability to overcome them and deliver the best for Kenyans.
Speaking on Monday, August 12, 2024, when he appeared in an evening televised interview with one of the local TV stations, Kuria claimed that Muturi has not found it fit to call him for an official handover.
“Justin Muturi has not found it fit to call me even for a handover. Muturi is my friend of many years. You cannot be what young p****e are calling ‘kipendekezi’. I cannot pendekeza myself. It must be an invitation to do a handover. I was brought up with some mannerisms which don’t allow me to force myself on p****e,” Kuria told Citizen TV.
