Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition leader Raila Odinga has disclosed that if the recommendations in the National Dialogue Committee (NADCO) report are fully implemented it will solve the issues the country is facing.
He further disclosed that the assenting of the IEBC Bill into law is one of the many recommendations contained in the NADCO report.
“NADCO report contains very fundamental recommendations this deal that has now been signed into law today is just one of these. NADCO report contains very many issues which are at the heart of many Kenyans today,” Raila said.
“If you see the issues being raised by our youth most of them are contained in the NADCO report. If implemented fully, it will be able to address all these issues raised by the young people.”
Raila further explained that NADCO was formed after the Former President of Nigeria Oluṣẹgun Ọbasanjọ came to mediate the conflict between Azimio and Kenya Kwanza administration.
“What we are doing today is a reclamation of a process that began early last year when President Oluṣẹgun Ọbasanjọ came to meditate on the conflict that was reigning at that time. We agreed when we sat together with William Ruto to follow the route of dialogue and that was the reason why NADCO was set up,” he said.
The former prime minister further recommended that youths should be involved during dialogues with the national government.
