Azimio la Umoja – One Kenya coalition leader Raila Odinga has landed in Zanzibar for the second day of the East African Community (EAC) ministerial meeting in Kiwengwa.
Raila as an AUC candidate will engage EAC ministers on various matters of regional interest including enhanced regional cooperation and advancing the African Union (AU) agenda for continental integration and development.
“Against the backdrop of Zanzibar’s scenic beauty, these constructive dialogues aim to fortify bonds among East African nations and enhance the AU’s capacity to effectively address regional and global challenges,” a statement shared by Raila’s press team reads in parts.
Prime Cabinet Secretary (CS) Musalia Mudavadi and the Kenyan delegation will also be attending the event.
His presence which amplifies his role as a unifying force in East Africa aligns with his endorsement for the upcoming African Union Commission (AUC) chairmanship elections.
His visit also highlights his strategic vision for promoting economic collaboration and political stability
