The trio, Job Mosobin alias Malilo, Geoffrey Kimutai alias KusKus and Andrew Ngeiwa alias Michuki were arrested after a manhunt was launched.
Detectives say the arrests were made through collaboration with members of the public.
It is reported that the three who were armed with an AK-47 assault rifle accosted the man of cloth as he was closing his shop.
They shot him in the stomach before taking off with his cash leaving him soaking in his blood.
Well-wishers who found the pastor rushed him to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment.
“Three suspects are currently in custody following the murder of pastor David Sylvester Ngeiwa, who was killed in cold blood on April 7, 2023, in Kaptama, Mt Elgon area in Bungoma County,” DCI said in a statement.
“Job Mosobin alias Malilo, Geoffrey Kimutai alias Kus Kus and Andrew Ngeiwa alias Michuki were arrested following the murder most foul after they accosted Pastor David Ngeiwa as he closed his shop at around 9pm on a fateful night. The thugs who were armed with an AK-47 assault,” they added.

Three suspects are currently in custody following the murder of pastor David Slyvester Ngeiwa, who was killed in cold blood on April 7, 2023 in Kaptama, Mt Elgon area in Bungoma County.
Police have launched an operation to recover the firearm used during the attack.
Meanwhile, the suspects are currently cooling their heels in police custody.
